My motto is People & Process > Technology

I've spent over 15 years working on technology projects and I can tell you, chasing the newest tech does not solve your information problems. Only when you focus on the people accessing and using your information do we create information that works.

That’s why my approach focuses on people. I use a combination of UX, communication, design and psychology principles to transform clients’ information so it's easy to find, understand & use.

WHAT I WRITE & SPEAK ABOUT

I don't know about you but I'm sick of searching for information at work. Countless hours searching, conflicting and outdated information, dead links and incomprehensible documents swallow up our day.

I believe there's a better way to manage our internal information.

That's why I created this site. To document all my thoughts and approaches to what I call Information Strategy. Often information = IT. But IT is just one *small* part of information. One that gets waaaay more attention than it deserves. That's why this site isn't IT focused - it's people focused. I cover communication, knowledge management and information design. Because how we write, design and store all our information determines whether it's used.
